How To Make Your Goals A Reality

Body image for article: How To Make Your Goals A Reality
Achieving your goals centers on three factors:
  1. Unshakable confidence
  2. A plan
  3. Positive habits
The first is internal and requires constant work. You must charge your emotional batteries. This means a steady diet of positive self-programming through journaling, meditation, motivational books, tapes, videos, and fostering positive relationships.
Next, you must have a plan to reach your goal. This is your pathway to success.
Many people have outstanding ideas and talent, but no blueprint for achieving their potential.
Trapped by frustration, people wait for ideas to appear through opportunity or the “perfect” situation. And They’re still waiting.
Change requires consistency. If you’re steadfast in your efforts to grow (especially emotionally), it confirms results.
But how does this look? How do you translate feelings into action?
Habits.
By following a plan and creating a solid routine, you’ll render tangible results.
Below is a sample routine to get you going (create your own, tailored to your life). You can make it more detailed by adding days and times in which specific activities will occur.
For example:
  • Wake-up early
  • Exercise
  • Breakfast
  • Work (career, education, etc.)
  • Dinner
  • Family time/Hobbies
  • Sleep
My focus is on what I call the basics. This comprises a balanced approach to self-development, with productivity being the centerpiece.
Daily Work:
  • Goals (i.e. career, hobbies)
  • Quiet time (meditation)
  • Exercise
  • Positive Thinking (books, blogs, journaling, videos)
(Also, give your finances and relationships consideration.)
The point of all this is to create a structure for yourself, clarifying where you should be, and what you should be doing.
Working from a template with specifics will keep you grounded and yield tangible results, separating you from dreamers who can’t distinguish feelings from actual achievement.
Later,
Gary
